Information Technology

It is a 3 years long Engineering Diploma program. Each academic year is divided into two semesters. Each semester is six months long. Students may pursue this program after completing their 10th from a recognized board. As the name suggests, this program revolves around the field of Information Technology. Diploma IT course, on many fronts, is similar to IT Engineering programs.

Information technology or IT describes any technology that powers or enables the storage, processing and information flow within an organization. Anything involved with computers, software, networks, intranets, Web sites, servers, databases and telecommunications falls under the IT umbrella. Modern business depends heavily on information systems, from employee e-mail to database management to e-commerce Web sites. It is estimated that there will be 2.0 million job openings in the IT sector by the end of this decade. Organizations are always in search of efficient personnel, who can deliver and design information technology solutions to improve the efficiency of their business by improving the productivity. Therefore, on completion of Diploma in Information Technology, candidates are exposed to diverse and endless career opportunities. They can get positions like, Software developer, Business Analyst, Technical Programmer, Computer Graphics Designer,Database Designer, Software Engineer, etc.. It involves Development of software, Maintenance of projects, Outsourcing, Cyber laws, Security of data etc.
